About Our School

NSPS has attractive grounds with large open spaces, frog ponds, indigenous habitat and vegetable gardens as well as undercover areas. Our students also have access to a variety of facilities, including an Outside School Hours Care Centre, stadium, and multipurpose court.  At our school, we provide opportunities for each student to become confident and responsible citizens, meeting challenges and embracing opportunities within our changing world.

Our school’s objective is for all students to gain skills, knowledge and understanding from the Victorian Curriculum so that they can successfully complete their educational journey. The Neerim South Primary School ‘Statement of Values and School Philosophy’ ensures that everyone in our school community is treated with fairness and respect. In turn, we strive to create a school that is inclusive and safe, where everyone is empowered to participate and learn. The following school wide values are used to support Neerim South Primary School students in becoming positive citizens within our school and community.

Respect – treating everyone and everything with consideration and courtesy. It means caring about myself, others and the environment. Learning – gaining knowledge, skills and understanding through endeavour and experience. It means knowing and understanding more.  Teamwork – working together towards a common goal and being able to work and act positively with others. It means working together to get the job done. Perseverance – believing in yourself and doing your best until you achieve your goals. It means having a go and “sticking to it” until it’s finished.

Our Vision

To provide a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that enables all students to achieve their full potential.

Our Mission

Our mission is to offer an education that strives for academic excellence and provides an inclusive, balanced learning program that is rich in experiences. At our school, we provide opportunities for each student to become a confident and responsible global citizen, meeting challenges and embracing opportunities within our changing world.
